Globetrotter 66 is new aluminum cat schooner.

March, 2010:  The largest cruising yacht in the Globetrotter stable, this new voyager is going to take her owners around the world. More than one may be possible if other owners are interested.

Cherubini Classic 24 morphed from a Classic 20.

April, 2009:  Cherubini Yachts has created the new Classic 24'er that is an extended version of her smaller sister. Here is the story on the metamorphosis.

SYDI's Scandinavian Cruiser 40 configured as Day Boat.

February, 2009:  The Scandinavian Cruiser, SYDI's new 40' lightweight, boat-in-a-box with a free-standing wingmasted sloop rig, will proceed in development as the Day Boat.  See the new plans, details, and  photo-realistic renderings.

Moloka'i Strait 79 Expeditionary Motoryacht is the latest MS design from SYDI.

Pooh Sticks II, a 32' Kiwi cat-ketch with SYDI masts, was damaged in a winter storm, but the masts were undamaged--See late update here.

July, 2008:  A mast design client from over 20 years ago reports on how his SYDI-designed masts have held up on his 32' cat-ketch, and survived a recent winter storm.

SYDI redesigns the Chris Craft Cobra 21

April 2008:  Naval Architect Eric Sponberg redesigned the 1955 Chris Craft Cobra 21 for a client to build as a reproduction.  But the client did not want the original bottom which was flat aft and concave forward.  SYDI's new bottom on the award-winning boat (Sunnyland 2008, Best One-of-a-Kind) is a more modern deep-V type that improves the boat's handling and performance.  See the complete story with photographs here.

Eagle, a sailing yacht design based on SYDI's Globetrotter 45, wins popular vote in Cruising World and Westlawn Yacht Design Competition.

August 2007:  One of ten finalists out of 55 entries from around the world, Eagle placed 7th under judges' voting, but when the public was allowed to vote on-line, they saw the folly of the judges' reasoning and voted Eagle the best of the best, by a long shot.  See this page for the story.

June 2006:  Sponberg Yacht Design completes initial designs for new houseboats in Flagler Beach, Florida.  These new  accommodations are a unique and affordable way to live on the Intracoastal Waterway.
